Osim Tov B’Rechov

Osim Tov B’Rechov is GIFT’s grassroots street-level kindness project, run by and for young professionals who believe that showing up matters.

For the past few years, a dedicated volunteer squad in Tel Aviv has given up their one day off every week to deliver fresh Shabbat meals directly to people experiencing homelessness.
Every Friday, without fail, they prepare and distribute meals to 85 individuals across the city. They have never missed a week; not even during times of war.

This project is about more than food. It is about dignity, presence, and consistency. About recognising people on the street by name and choosing to show up, week after week.

Due to the strength of the model and the commitment of its volunteers, Osim Tov B’Rechov has now expanded to Jerusalem. There, the group runs a fortnightly programme, taking over a restaurant kitchen to cook together before heading out to deliver meals to those in need.
