GIFT charity
GIFT charityAs the GIFT volunteer appreciation evening unfolded, over 200 volunteers, staff members, and supporters came together at a Country Club in Mill Hill, sharing their personal stories and volunteering experiences.
The evening served as a momentous occasion for the entire GIFT organisation to unite and extend heartfelt gratitude towards the exceptional volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts regularly. Hailing from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, their volunteers play indispensable roles in the success of GIFT’s mission.
From the compassionate drivers who ensure that essential services reach those in need to the talented cooks who prepare nourishing meals with love and care, and the food support parcel packers who ensure the smooth functioning of operations, each volunteer’s contribution is invaluable. The event also honored the dedicated befrienders, whose companionship and empathy bring hope and joy to those they support.
Keren Heller, Volunteer Manager exclaimed: “It was very special to be in a room with individuals who regularly support GIFT. I feel truly honoured to work with these volunteers and to have spent the evening appreciating their endless dedication helping those in need.”
Vicky Sakhai who volunteers with GIFT each week at the GIFT Hub explained: “Thank you to everyone at GIFT, we had such a lovely evening with delicious food, fabulous entertainment and the highlight of the night was being surrounded by the wonderful GIFT family.”
The event venue was transformed into a warm and inviting space, reflecting the genuine appreciation GIFT holds for its volunteers. The atmosphere exuded an overwhelming sense of camaraderie and a collective passion to give back to the community. Volunteers have contributed 25,500 hours of their time to volunteering across London and Manchester this year.
GIFT held a ‘teens only’ volunteer appreciation event this week at Hendon Park Café celebrating students who participate at the GIFT Hub, The Giving Kitchen and various educational and volunteering projects.
